How This List Maps to the Generator

Every word above lives in the same pool the Pictionary word generator draws from; the generator just picks one at random instead of you scanning the table. If your group already knows they want, say, only Hard Animals words, you can either read them straight off this page, or set the generator's category to Animals and difficulty to Hard and let it shuffle through them one at a time so nobody sees the whole list in advance (which matters if the drawer isn't supposed to know what's coming).

Why Randomizing Words Matters

Reading a word list top-to-bottom sounds harmless, but it changes how the game plays. Once a few rounds have gone by, players start predicting what's coming next just from the order on the page, and the drawer sometimes glances ahead by accident. A shuffled pick removes both problems: nobody, including the drawer, knows what word is coming until it's revealed, and the same word can't quietly resurface two rounds in a row. That's the core reason this page exists as a reference alongside the generator rather than a replacement for it. Using This List for Charades or Other Guessing Games

Every word on this page works just as well for charades, a wordless-acting party game, or a classroom guessing exercise as it does for Pictionary. The Actions & Verbs column is a particularly good starting point for charades specifically, since those entries are already built around physical motion (Juggle, Sneeze, Ride a bike) rather than something you'd only recognize from a drawing. If your group plays a mixed format, alternating a drawing round with an acting round using the same word pool, there's no need to keep two separate lists: the same Easy/Medium/Hard split and the same category structure carry over cleanly to either format.
